London’s SugarSin gummies respond to market growth with vegan varieties

London-based confectionery firm SugarSin, a specialist in cocktail-based gummies, has expanded its product line in delivering its debut vegan series, writes Neill Barston.

As the business revealed, its new range, which is approved by the Vegetarian Society, builds on its established lines and includes a new Gin Fizz variety, as well as a Sparkling Rosé with sweet strawberry notes paired with real wine.

According to the company, the new line is available in  Berry Bramble (tangy blackberry, cranberry and blackcurrant with lemon), Watermelon Mojito (a fruity watermelon with zingy lime and smooth vanilla) and Fizzy Tropical (zingy pineapple, mango, passion fruit and kiwi).

“We want as many people as possible to enjoy our confectionery, so extending our range of vegan gummies made sense.” says owner Jiten Shah, a vegetarian himself. “We’ve spent the last couple of years working on a recipe that didn’t forfeit the quality or flavour of our gummies, and after extensive research, we’ve cracked the code to indulgent vegan sweets which customers will love.

With the vegan confectionery market in the UK valued at $3.7 billion, there’s certainly room for a new brand to take on some of the big players, especially as we know people of all ages love our signature gummies so much. We are seeing continual increasing demand from customers for vegan options,” with its vegan offerings soon set to be further expanded.

“We gradually intend to transit some of our popular non-vegan gummies into vegan and also introduce more flavours to our current range of five vegan flavours” Jiten added of its fast-growing portfolio, available  in 100g grab & go pouches or giftable 260g glass jars.
