DT&G Limited completes the line-up for the World Confectionery Conference 2022

Managing director of equipment business DT&G Ltd, Lyn Pitt, has joined the ranks of speakers at this year’s World Confectionery Conference, which completes our line-up for the event.

The British-based company, which specialises in industrial coating and polishing machinery, has operated for more than six decades in the sector, with its equipment lines being installed within leading manufacturing operations around the globe.

Speaking to Confectionery Production at this year’s Sweets & Snacks Expo event, Lyn Pitt explained that the company had enjoyed a particularly resilient period amid the pandemic (see our review of the event including interview with Lyn here), with a strong order pipeline for its series of machinery.

The company, which started in Birkenhead in 1962, began with its Finn belt coating line, with hundreds of these systems now in operation  around the world, which have been developed with a keen focus on increasing production capacity, while lowering labour costs for manufacturing operations.

For our World Confectionery Conference (you can register for the event here), which features major contributions from keynotes including Ferrero, Tony’s Chocolonely, Innova Market Insights and Fairtrade, Lyn will be discussing how the business has responded to the demands of the sector in the 21st century.

It has blended a focus on quality machinery with appliance of industry 4.0 equipment principles, and its managing director will also explain how the business has honed its focus on delivering sustainable machinery solutions to a broad array of customers.

Speaking on her addition to the line-up, Confectionery Production magazine’s editor, Neill Barston, said: “We warmly welcome Lyn to our speaker programme for this year’s conference. Her expertise in the industry, gained over several decades in continuing the manufacturing heritage of her company, has seen her directly involved in an array of project installations around the world, which we look forward to hearing more about in just a few weeks’ time.

“There’s still an opportunity for those who have been considering to register for the event to get involved – this is after all, your event, so we have as a team strived to deliver an event that reflects the best developments across equipment, systems, ingredients and finished product ranges for our industries.”
