Debina Bonnerjee and Gurmeet Choudhary are couple goals and fans love them for the bond they share. For a long time, they have been preoccupied with work and parental duties due to which they had to be away from an International vacation plan.
However, the long wait for them ended recently when they decided to plan a month-long holiday earlier that’s all set to end now as Ganpati festival approaches.
Just like every other year, this year too, the couple is extremely excited for Ganpati festival. What makes it even more special is that this is their first Ganpati festival after the birth of their little one, Divisha.
Debina and Gurmeet are two individuals who are socially aware and that’s why, they are all for a safer and greener environment. That’s exactly why they are specifically keen on celebrating Ganpati festival this time too in an eco-friendly manner.
Gurmeet and Debina reveal, “Every year, during the time of Visarjan, a lot of toxic colours and materials merge with the water bodies and that is extremely harmful and hazardous for nature as well as the water species. As responsible citizens and public figures, our responsibility is to just do the right thing, but also influence others to do the same so that the awareness spreads. Since the past few years, we have been celebrating Ganpati festival in an eco-friendly way and this year too, we will be doing the same. We also urge all our fans and citizens of this country to follow the same so that nature isn’t harmed at the cost of our celebrations. Like the past few years, we will be bringing an eco-friendly Ganesh ji idol that will be made of 100% clay and non-toxic colours. The idol that we will have will be made of clay, natural fibers, paper and other biodegradable materials. The idea is to ensure that it degrades inside water in a healthy way without causing any detrimental effect to the environment, especially the ones made of POP. We urge others as well to kindly follow this every year. If we respect nature, only then will nature respect us in the long run.”
