Flower Power: The Power of Native Flowers!
Join us on Saturday March 4th, 2023, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, for our annual garden festival and plant sale, being held at the Orange County Extension campus at 6021 S. Conway, Orlando, 32812. Flower Power! is hosted by the UF/IFAS Orange County Extension Master Gardener Volunteers and serves as the primary fundraiser for the organization to assist county residents with their plant and soil questions, serve 4-H programs, and teach K-12 students how to garden and grow their own food. The event is free and is a fun day out for the entire family.
Included in this year’s event are more than 40 plant, art, and craft vendors. Nursery vendors are bringing indoor and outdoor plants, fruit trees, Florida native plants, organic fertilizer, bonsai, and micro irrigation systems. The day includes food trucks too! This year’s kids’ zone features crafts and a treasure hunt.
Tom MacCubbin will share his knowledge during his 11 am class. Garden society members will be on hand to share their expertise, and Master Gardener Volunteers will do demonstrations and present workshops on various gardening topics throughout the day. Additionally, Orange County Extension Master Gardener Volunteers will be available to diagnose and offer solutions to your plant issues for free.
